The Night Before Studio

Hi,

For all those going for the Mystery Jets gig this Sunday, I've compiled -from my eclectic and exclusive collection of music- a possible setlist. This was based on research of their past gigs.

The songs are a mixture from their 2 albums, Making Dens and 21.

Personally, I find their sophomore release, 21, a big step forward. Where Making Dens was a lame attempt at quirky brit pop (which was abit of an anti-climax considering all the hype surrounding them), 21 showed them perfecting this chirpy rock with epic tunes such as Young Love, Flakes and Half In Love With Elizabeth. Two Doors Down has also been regarded by several critics as one of the tracks of 2008.

When Mystery Jets first entered the global scene (back when I was in JC) , they were noted to be a normal British guitar band, this view was compounded when they covered the Bloc Party track Pioneers. However, those comparisons have been laid to rest as Mystery Jets carved a name for themselves with their unique brand of upbeat songs with lighthearted lyrics. Together with their totally whack vocalist Blaine Harrison, I'm sure that on Sunday, they will shine like Diamonds In The Dark!

p.s. the song MJ is about incest.
